On May 5th I spoke at the Surrey Teachers’ Convention: my talk was focused on the mutigenerational trauma of the Indian Residential School System (IRS), and some the effects it had on me personally.
Friday, the twenty-fourth of March, was the last day of the Shards and Gems show at the Pop-Up Gallery in White Rock BC. During that time Linda Peirce and I worked on writing Poetry and a series of short stories. It was a wonderful opportunity to work in a venue that was inviting and vibrant with paintings by Elizabeth Halick, and Linda Pierce.
The event raised $2500.oo towards my tuition to The Writer’s Studio offered at SFU. I wish to thank everyone who took part in the event, and who visited and viewed, and purchased art.
